The following items were taken from area police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Francisco Garcia, 26, of the 2000 block of North 17th Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited for having open alcohol on the public way at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 2 after police said he was observed skateboarding while drinking from a 24 oz. can of beer in a paper bag.
Angelica Herrera, 43, of the 600 block of South Spring Road, Elmhurst, was cited for having a dog at large at 9:41 Aug. 1.
Rodolfo Medrano, 42, of the 100 block of North Addison Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with domestic battery at 3:44 a.m. July 28.
Kerri Crawley, 42, of the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with three counts of domestic battery at 10:09 p.m. Aug. 1.
The passenger side window of a vehicle in the Addison parking deck, 149 N. Addison Ave., was reported shattered between 12:15 p.m. and 3:52 p.m. July 28, although nothing appeared to be missing.
A resident on the 600 block of North Oaklawn Avenue reported a safe and jewelry missing at 3 p.m. July 28 after two white males claiming to be with ComEd approached him about tree trimming near power lines.
A laptop computer, checks and other items were reported taken from a home on the 300 block of East Van Buren Street between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 29.
Two early morning burglaries of motor vehicles on the 100 block of Addison Avenue were reported on July 29. A gym bag was taken from one vehicle, while a wallet was taken from another. The wallet’s owner later found fraudulent charges on a credit card.
Graffiti and broken glass were reported in the Addison parking deck, 149 N. Addison Ave., at 7:20 a.m. July 31.
Marshay McMorris, 27, of the 100 block of Minthaven Court, Gurnee, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 3:24 a.m. July 30.
Ryan Sammarco, 34, of the 2300 block of North 73rd Avenue, Elmwood Park, was cited for possession of cannabis by a driver at 8:30 p.m. July 30.
Aiden Suarez, 19, of the 1100 block of Brookwood Drive, Bensenville, was charged with reckless driving, speeding more than 40 miles per hour over the limit, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and possession of a fraudulent driver’s license at 10:52 a.m. July 31.
Shawna Loyd, 28, of the 800 block of North Fordham Avenue, Aurora, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle by a passenger at 11:40 a.m. Aug. 2.
Saveyon Barber, 22, of the 600 block of South York Road, Bensenville, was cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 8:24 p.m. Aug. 2.
Thomas Tibbetts, 28, of the 100 block of South Villa Avenue, Addison, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance, possession of open alcohol and possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 10:32 p.m. July 30.
Matthew Jensen, 35, of the 17W700 block of Butterfield Rd., Oakbrook Terrace, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with expired registration and driving without insurance at 8:11 p.m. July 31.
Austin Taylor, 35, of the 7400 block of South Drexel Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of open alcohol and driving with improper lighting at 1 a.m. Aug. 1.
Andre Griffin, 35, of the 200 block of Hancock Street, Peoria, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended driver’s license, unlawful possession of cannabis, possession of open alcohol and driving without insurance at 4:54 a.m. Aug. 1.
Melissa Ogrodny, 34, of the 7200 block of West North Avenue, Elmwood Park, was charged with driving under the influence and three counts of endangering the life of a child at 5:42 p.m. Aug. 1.
A resident reported a fraudulent attempt to open a credit card account using her information on July 28.
A resident reported someone accessed her online Domino’s account and ordered food on Aug. 1. She told police her bank will reimburse the loss.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a work van belonging to Allied Universal, 435 W. Fullerton Ave., between July 19 and July 27.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the employee lot of Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 28.
Two women reportedly stole “multiple vacuum cleaners” and other merchandise from Kohl’s, 303 S. Route 83, around 8:20 p.m. July 28.
A secured bicycle was reported taken from a rack at the Metra station, 128 W. First St., between 1 p.m. July 30 and 12:20 p.m. July 31.
A catalytic converter was reported cut from a vehicle waiting for repair at Lake Street Auto Repairs, 612 W. Lake St., between July 1 and Aug. 1.
An empty cash register packed for shipment was reported stolen from Pilot Pete’s, 128 W. First St., between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 19.
A red Mongoose bicycle was reported stolen from a rack at the Metra station, 128 W. First St., where it was secured between 2:30 p.m. July 28 and 7:20 p.m. Aug. 1.
Two male suspects reportedly took two cases of beer from Jewel Osco, 944 S. York St., at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1.
A catalytic converter was reported taken from a vehicle in the 600 block of West North Avenue at 4:39 p.m. Aug. 2.
A catalytic converter was reported taken from a vehicle in the lot of Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83, between 2 p.m. and 10:26 p.m. Aug. 2.
A box of vaping devices was reported taken from Elmhurst Food and Liquor, 418 N. York St., at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 2.
A catalytic converter was reported taken from a vehicle parked at Bella Terra Elmhurst, 420 W. Butterfield Rd., between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3.
Eva Ocampo, 72, of the 100 block of George Street, Bensenville, was cited for driving without insurance at 2:46 p.m. July 28.
Moise Destina Jr., 26, of the 1500 block of North Mayfield Avenue, Chicago, was cited for tinted windows, driving with expired registration and possession of fireworks at 1:34 a.m. July 31.
Yessenia Ramirez, 29, of the 4N4100 block of 3rd Avenue, Addison, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 6:09 a.m. July 31.
Darcel Craig Jr., 26, of the 8600 block of South Elizabeth Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with suspended registration, driving without insurance and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 7:41 a.m. Aug. 2.
Tris Evans Madison, 29, of the 1000 block of Highway 318, Baldwin, La., was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control signal at 9:24 a.m. Aug. 2.
In the same incident, Jeremy Vicks, 28, of the 400 block of Alexander Street, Boutte, La., was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis by a passenger.
Marissa Garay, 24, of the 10400 block of Dickens Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited for driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and speeding at 3:51 p.m. July 29.
