Diesel particulate filter (DPF) remanufacturer Ceramex has made two senior management appointments following an increase in its capacity and rising demand.
Former Operations Manager Barney Milles (pictured) has been promoted to Managing Director, while Mike Foster has joined as Head of Customer Service.
The appointments come after Ceramex relocated to a new 67,000 sq ft facility in Reading in what represents a £3m investment for the company. It allows the supplier to process some 2,000 DPFs per week.
Barney reveals the company is anticipating an uptick in volumes in 2022: “Even before the pandemic, tighter EU emission controls meant that the demand for cleaning and remanufacturing of commercial DPFs was on a steady upward trajectory.
“Ceramex is now seeing volumes returning to pre-pandemic levels, due in part to increased logistics fleet activity. We expect further growth over the next few years, so having our new facility fully operational, that’s also recently achieved IATF16949 certification, demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement and service excellence for our OEM customers.”
Adds Mike: “Helping customers to achieve renewed momentum in the wake of the pandemic will be a major focus of my new role at Ceramex and I’m very pleased to be joining the team at an important time in its growth strategy.”
