A 2008 Toyota Prius was reported stolen June 18 from a residence in the 200 block of 3rd St., police said. The key was believed to have been left inside.
An unlocked 2018 Subaru Crosstrek was reportedly entered June 18 in the 200 block of 3rd St. with a small amount of money stolen, police said. The incident occurred at approximately the same time as the incident above.
Juan D. Alegria, 40, of the 900 block of Green Bay Road, Winnetka was charged June 23 with driving under the influence of alcohol, no proof of insurance, making an improper turn and driving with suspended registration after he was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Elmwood Ave., police said. He was released on bond with no further information available.
The catalytic converter was reported stolen off a 2006 Toyota Prius June 20 as the car was parked in the 600 block of Leamington Ave., police said. The theft was believed to have occurred between May 30 and June 20.
The catalytic converter was reported stolen off a 2000 Honda Odyssey June 17 as the car was parked in the 1300 block of Gregory Ave., police said. The theft was believed to have occurred between June 1 and June 12.
A package was reported stolen June 23 from the front porch of a home in the 300 block of Linden Avenue, police said. The package was later found in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue.
An unlocked LIV bicycle was reported stolen June 20 from the Harper School in the 1100 block of Dartmouth St., police said. The theft was believed to have occurred June 6.
