Motorcycle, Catalytic Converters, Saws Stolen In Wheaton: Blotter | Wheaton, IL Patch

WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating a motorcycle theft, catalytic converter thefts and other crimes that were reported in early August.

Motorcycle Stolen from 1300 Block of Taft Avenue

Someone stole a red and black Suzuki motorcycle from a parking lot in the 1300 block of Taft Avenue. The incident took place sometime between 10:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 1. According to police, the motorcycle was found the following day with its ignition wiring harness stripped.

Catalytic Converter Stolen from 1300 Block of South Lorraine Road

Police say a catalytic converter was stolen from a Nissan Altima while it was parked in a lot in the 1300 block of South Lorraine Road. The item was stolen sometime between 6 p.m. on July 31 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 1.

Catalytic Converter Stolen from Car at Pete's Fresh Market

A catalytic converter was cut from a Toyota Prius that was parked in the lot at Pete's Fresh Market, 151 Rice Lake Sq. Police say the incident took place around 11 a.m. on Aug. 1.

Saws Stolen from Hazelton/Williams

Thieves stole two saws and a chainsaw from an unlocked car that was parked at Hazelton/Williams on Aug. 5 just before 10:30 a.m.

Catalytic Converter Stolen from Car at 10 Danada Square West

A catalytic converter was stolen from a car that was parked in a lot at 10 Danada Square West, according to the Wheaton crime blotter. The theft took place sometime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
